Visitors to Lake Plain Dealing Park have something new that will add to their recreational experience at the facility, which is part of Louisiana’s National Scenic Boom or Bust Byway.

Four new picnic tables sitting on concrete pads have been added, thanks to a Love Our Byways—Conservation and Beautification grant awarded the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau by Toyota Motor North America and the National Scenic Byway Foundation.

Assisting the tourist bureau with the installation of the tables was the Bossier Parish Police Jury through its Parks and Recreation Department. Lake Plain Dealing is open to the public for water recreation and fishing. The lake is located west of LA Hwy. 3 just north of Plain Dealing.
