A small percentage of boaters who are ignoring posted warning signs and buoys at the Linton Rd. bridge over Black Bayou construction site are causing parish officials to take a look at steps to ensure safety for both boat traffic and workers.

Signs are clearly posted at the site, but according to the project contractor some boats have driven beneath the bridge while construction work is ongoing.

Photos show boundaries are clearly marked and warning signs posted to inform boaters of the danger. Construction on the bridge continues, but work is forced to halt when boats travel beneath the bridge.
