Beginning Wednesday, November 11, LA Hwy. 529 (Emma Cemetery Rd.) from LA Hwy. 160 to LA Hwy. 2 in northeast Bossier Parish will be closed to through traffic, according to the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation and Development.
Traffic configuration is anticipated to last approximately five days, and is necessary to allow the contractor to replace
drainage structures that cross the roadway.
This road closure is part of the $2.8 million project to improve LA 529 with a patch, mill and overlay. Additional intermittent lane closures will be required as the project moves forward.
The entire project is expected to be complete in late Spring 2021, weather permitting.
Traffic will be detoured via LA 160, US 371 and LA 2.
