Contractors for the Bossier Parish Police Jury are making headway on a pair of projects designed to accommodate both future growth and traffic flow.

Work on the bridge on Swan Lake Rd. over Flat River, located just east of Legacy School, is on schedule. In addition to construction of a new bridge, contractors will be adding a new section of roadway to remove a sharp curve that had been on the eastern approach to the old structure.

Meanwhile, work continues at a steady pace on the West Linton Rd. extension. When completed, that road will connect Airline Dr. at Linton Rd. to Fairburn Ave. and allow more convenient access to Kingston Elementary and the new Benton High School.
