To say John Ed Jorden is a lifelong resident of Bossier Parish is a bit of an understatement. His family settled in the parish in the 1800s, and he lives in Ivan on the same land his great grandfather settled.
He’s a rancher and has been in the cattle business with his son for more than 30 years. The Jordens also produce and participate in rodeo events.
“Everybody has a problem. It might not seem important to somebody else, but it is to them. I made the promise when I ran for this office that although I might not be able to help every time, I’d return every phone call or come to see the people personally.”
Jorden said he enjoys working with all the jury members for the good of the parish and his district.
“We want to make this the best place possible to live,” he said. “It’s not what you carry with you when you die, it’s what you leave behind. I’d like to leave behind that I helped people.”
