Bossier Courthouse Goes Green!

Posted: Apr 8, 2025, 3:01 PM

Today, Lynn Bryan, our amazing Director at Keep Bossier Beautiful, presented the first-ever Courthouse Challenge recycling award!

The challenge aimed to keep paper out of our local landfill, and wow, did our participants deliver! Over two weeks, employees from the Bossier Parish Police Jury (BPPJ) and the LSU Ag Center collected a whopping 375 pounds of recyclable paper!

Here's the breakdown:

  • BPPJ: 251 pounds
  • Ag Center: 124 pounds

The winner was determined by the average amount of paper recycled per employee, and the Ag Center came out on top with an impressive 24.8 pounds per person!

But that's not all! Lynn also unveiled the Keep America Beautiful's Greatest American Cleanup Challenge, encouraging everyone to pick up litter in time for America’s Birthday on July 4, 2026.

Both teams have committed to continuing their recycling efforts to help our environment. Let's give them a big round of applause for their dedication and hard work!
