Grand Opening of Veterans Parkway

The Bossier Parish Police Jury cordially invites you to the long-anticipated opening of the Veterans Parkway on Wednesday, December 4, at 9 a.m.

Work crews will be busy completing the project over the holiday weekend with striping and cleaning up of the parkway in preparation for the opening. Swan Lake Road will also be reconfigured with a new route and traffic flow as it is tied into the new parkway. Motorists are asked to expect delays while traveling on Swan Lake Road during construction.

The nearly 4-mile stretch of roadway will soon connect I-220 at Swan Lake Rd. to LA Hwy 162 via Crouch Rd. The parkway cost taxpayers $22 million to build and took over two years to complete.

The best address for the event will be 4100-4114 Swan Lake Road or the intersection of Swan Lake Road and Veterans Parkway.
