Assistant Director of Public Utilities

The Bossier Parish Police Jury Consolidated Water Sewer District 1 has an immediate opening for an Assistant Director of Public Utilities.  Responsibilities for this position include the overall operation and maintenance of the Bossier Parish water treatment and distribution facilities, sewer collection and treatment facilities, administration, and billing services.

The applicant must possess Class 4 level certifications as issued from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals for:  Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Water Production, Wastewater Treatment, and Wastewater Collection and be required to have a degree in engineering, public administration, business administration, biological science, chemistry or water technology (or closely related field) from an accredited college or university.  Five to ten years of supervisory experience in the operation and maintenance of a Class 4 water or wastewater treatment plant or system, including responding to inquiries, complaints, and concerns of the customers, both internal and external as well as training in emergency response.
