Animal Control Technician

The applicant must possess a valid State CDL License, a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to two years of related experience. The applicant may also be required to attend the Louisiana Animal Control Certification Academy.

The Bossier Parish Police Jury has an immediate opening for an Animal Control Technician. Responsibilities for this position include a variety of tasks including animal control, environmental safety enforcement, and overseeing building permit requirements. The applicant will be expected to implement a parish animal control program by apprehending, impounding, and caring for stray animals at the small animal control facility and will ensure compliance with and enforcing parish animal control laws.
