Some restrictions put in place at the Bossier Parish Courthouse due to the COVID-19 threat have been amended. Beginning April 28, certain protocols that were in place in order to gain access into the courthouse have been lifted. Those changes are noted in an amended emergency executive order issued by the president of the Bossier Parish Police Jury.

Citizens still have time to register for disaster assistance for the winter storm that hit the area Feb. 11 through Feb. 19 under the Individual Assistance declaration, but the deadline for doing so is approaching.

Bossier Parish Police Jury highway department workers are currently reworking a bridge on Goodman Springs road, replacing the existing short span structure with culverts. The bridge is located one-tenth mile east of Goodman Springs’ intersection with Mott Rd.

WHEREAS, pursuant to La. R.S. 29:727, the President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury has hereby declared a State of Emergency due to the statewide public health emergency issued by Governor John Bel Edwards, with the most recent being Proclamation Number 66 JBE 2021 issued on March 30, 2021, supplementing the declaration of emergency in Proclamation Number 101 JBE 2020, and the mitigation measures therein; Therefore, Proclamation Number 66 JBE 2021 shall remain in full force and effect until it expires on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, unless extended, in response to the threat posed by COVID-19.
