Bossier Parish Weather Update & Safety Reminder
Posted: Jan 27, 2026, 3:39 PM
As we began to thaw out from the weekend’s freeze, Bossier Parish Highway Department crews were out early this morning clearing ice from sidewalks at the Bossier Courthouse, motor grading roadways like Kingston Road, and spreading salt and sand in several neighborhoods, including Espanita Village in Haughton.
The National Weather Service in Shreveport reports that very cold temperatures will return tonight, with readings expected to fall into the upper teens to mid‑20s.
While milder conditions are expected for much of the week, below‑normal temperatures will continue across the area through early next week.
As conditions slowly improve, please remember: many surfaces will remain icy and slippery until temperatures rise well above freezing. Protect yourself from falls and potential injuries by following these safety tips.
Stay warm and stay safe, Bossier Parish!
