Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Portions of Haughton Along Hwy 164

The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 has lifted the recently issued boil water advisory for the Village Water System, which affected homes located off Hwy 164 in Haughton.

The advisory was originally issued following a water main leak on a two-inch water line in the 400 block of Hwy 164, which required crews to shut off water service while repairs were completed temporarily. Those repairs have now been finalized, and water samples tested by the Louisiana Department of Health have confirmed the system meets all safety standards.

Residents in the affected area may resume normal use of their water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and food preparation.
