The Louisiana Department of Health Lab in Shreveport has lifted the partial boil advisory for customers of the Village Water System, managed by Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District #1. This advisory affected residents in the 600 block of Princeton Road up to the Winfield intersection.
On Monday, a contractor accidentally broke a 4-inch water main in the area. Consequently, CWSD #1 crews had to temporarily shut off the water supply to the affected homes to perform repairs. This interruption led officials to issue a boil advisory for approximately 20 homes.
Water samples were collected and tested by the Louisiana Department of Health Lab in Shreveport, and the results came back negative. No further action is required regarding this advisory.
