Boil Advisory Rescinded for Village Water System

Officials with the Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 (CWSD #1) and the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health rescinded the boil advisory that went into effect Monday, January 7 for the Village Water System in the 7600 block of Highway 80.

Officials say a contractor working in the area damaged the water main at 7675 HWY 80. The line was immediately repaired but as a safety precaution officials issued a boil advisory and collected water samples for testing.

The advisory affected customers living between Beauregard and Elsie Streets off of  HWY 80. The water samples from the line were tested at the LA Dept. of Health Lab and returned negative.  No further action will be taken with this advisory.
