Boil Advisory Rescinded for Haughton Residents

Officials from the Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 and the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health, have rescinded the boil advisory that was issued Tuesday, May 14, for customers living on Hwy 80, east of Mahaffey Farms.

The boil advisory was placed on the system after work crews made three crossover piping connections at Hwy 80 and Ward Lane.

The shutdown impacted customers living in the following areas:

• Hwy 80 from Mahaffey Farms to Shooters Lane
• Timbers East Subdivision
• Fillmore Cemetery Road
• Creekside Subdivision
• Gray Duck Subdivision
• Princeton Road

Water samples from the line were tested at the LA Dept. of Health Lab and returned negative.
