Contractors for the parish police jury continue to make headway in construction of a new Poole Rd. in southern Bossier Parish.
Work on the reconstruction of the road, which was severely damaged during flooding in 2015 and 2016, is being funded by money obtained from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Contractors are removing the surface and base, and will lay a new foundation for the new road.
Meanwhile, parish highway department workers are adding material, repairing and grading the unpaved surface on Levee Board Rd. just south of Poole Rd. as part of the year’s road plan.
