Ian Snellgrove, director of the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (BOHSEP), tells of the parish’s emergency plan in case of extreme weather conditions expected to hit the Bossier Parish/northwest Louisiana area.
With Snellgrove are members of the parish’s emergency management team consisting of officials representing government and public safety agencies in Bossier City and Bossier Parish.
During the briefing, Snellgrove said equipment is being sent to staging areas in the parish in case it’s needed. Staging areas have been designated at Parish Fire District 7 station, the Bossier Parish highway department facility in Benton, Hammack Way off Swan Lake Rd., the Dogwood levy at Red Chute Bayou and at South Bossier Park.
