Primary elections in Louisiana are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13, but other dates in this year’s cycle are important.
Voters in the state face an in-person or by mail registration deadline of Oct. 13, and an Oct. 23 deadline for Geaux Vote online.
Early voting begins Oct. 30 and ends Nov. 6. Deadline to request an absentee ballot from the Registrar of Voters is Nov. 9, with the exception of military personnel and citizens overseas.
Deadline for the registrar to receive absentee ballots case is Nov. 12, except for military and overseas votes.
State voters are urged to visit geauxvote.com and login to the voter portal to register, request an absentee ballot, to find sample ballots and polling location information.
