Notice of Cancellation of Public Hearing

Pursuant to La. R.S. 29:727, the President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury has hereby declared a State of Emergency due to an emergency situation as a result of forecasted winter weather.  In accordance with said declaration, the Bossier Parish Courthouse will be closed effective Tuesday, February 16, 2021, and Wednesday, February 17, 2021.  A notice will be posted on the police jury’s website at should the need arise for the courthouse to be closed on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

In response to the Emergency Declaration issued by Mr. Jerome Darby, President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury, the February 17, 2021, Regular Police Jury Meeting, as well as any other board meetings or committee meetings that may have been scheduled for February 17, 2021, have been cancelled.

A public hearing was scheduled to be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Bossier Parish Courthouse, Benton, Louisiana, Case P-64-20–Favorable recommendation by the Bossier City-Parish MPC-to consider approval of the application of Mr. Sean Diel, Louisiana Realty & Associates, to the Bossier City-Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission for a zoning amendment to change the zoning classification of Willow Chute Commercial Subdivision, Unit No. 4, Lot 1, being 8.39 acres, more or less, from R-A, Residence-Agricultural District, to B-3, General Business District, for future commercial development (Located just north of Swan Lake Road on the right side of Airline Drive), but this public hearing has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
