Customers of Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District #1 in Haughton’s Dogwood subdivision will soon see their water system upgraded with the installation of a new 321,000 gallon, epoxy water tank.
Director of Public Utilities Larry Landry said the tank will be serving approximately 3,300 residents. Cost of the project is roughly $346,000. In addition to the new tank, the water system will also be getting a new chlorination system.
Work on project is expected to be completed within the next three to four weeks, weather permitting.
