Posted: Apr 8, 2020, 9:27 AM

Pursuant to La. R.S. 29:727, the President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury has hereby declared a State of Emergency due to the Statewide Stay at Home Executive Order issued by Governor John Bel Edwards, Proclamation Number 33 JBE 2020, and amended on April 2, 2020, by Governor John Bel Edwards, in response to the threat posed by COVID-19.  In accordance with said amended declaration, the Bossier Parish Courthouse will be closed to the public effective Monday, March 22, 2020, beginning at 5:00 p.m., and will remain closed through Sunday, April 30, 2020.  This provision may be extended beyond Monday, April 30, 2020, by further order.

The Bossier Parish Police Jury’s office will remain open with minimal staff and other essential employees to ensure that any emergency needs of the public are met to the best of our ability through this difficult time.  The police jury office may be contacted at 318-965-2329.

The public will need to contact each individual department/agency within the courthouse to determine their hours of operation, if any.  Their contact information may be found on the police jury website at www.bossierparishla.gov.
