No major damage was reported when heavy rains and winds accompanying a storm front roared through Bossier Parish Sunday evening.
Ian Snellgrove, director of the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said most damage occurred in the Dogwood subdivision and along U.S. Hwy. 80 east in Haughton. Snellgrove completed his damage assessment Monday.
“There were some trees and limbs down and some light structural damage, but nothing major in the parish,” he said. “The National Weather Service will be doing an assessment to tell us what kind of storm we had.”
Snellgrove said parish police jury road crews were on scene after the storm passed Sunday night.
“They did a good job of removing debris and keeping roads open,” he said.
