Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Host Training

First responders from across the region participated recently in a training exercise designed to test emergency plans through enactment of various scenarios.

Hosting the training session were the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Bossier Parish Local Emergency Planning Committee and Bossier City Fire Department Training. Classes were held at the Bossier City municipal training complex.

Training for responders was one of four state sponsored exercises conducted around the state.

Regional responders and private industry participated in the hazardous material tabletop scenario to review emergency plans. Exercises were also used to facilitate communications between multiple first responder agencies and private industry.
