There’s a Big Event coming to Bossier Parish Community College on Saturday, August 17 and attendees will have a chance to pick up valuable information during several USDA workshops.

Topics to be discussed include USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service technical and financial assistance, USDA Farm Service Agency farm loan programs, USDA Rural Development financial opportunities, small business development opportunities, youth in agriculture opportunities, and estate planning/legal matters.

“This BIG Event is a great opportunity for Bossier Parish residents to meet U.S. Department of Agriculture representatives and learn how they can help you improve your farm or ranch,” said Bob Brotherton, president of the Bossier Parish Police Jury.  “In addition, a local attorney will offer estate planning advice, and it is all free.”

Workshops will be held at the Bossier Parish Community College, Building F, Room 203, 6220 East Texas Street, in Bossier City beginning at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at noon.  Pre-registration is encouraged, but on-site registration is available on the day of the event beginning at 9:00 a.m.

To pre-register or for more information, call (318) 255-3554 or email and provide name, contact information, and name of event.  If special accommodations are necessary, please call (318) 255-3554 as soon as possible.

BIG Event sessions are made possible by a community partnership among USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Bossier Parish Community College, Bossier Parish Police Jury and Trailblazer RC&D.
