Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Meeting Scheduled to Discuss Lake Bistineau


An informational meeting hosted by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is scheduled Thursday, June 20 to update the public on the current status of aquatic plant control efforts on Lake Bistineau. 

Information will be provided by the LDWF, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Louisiana State University. Discussions will begin at 7 p.m.  in the Jonathan Glasscock Memorial Classroom at the LDWF Region 1 office at 9961 Hwy. 80 east in Minden.

Included in the discussions will be a lake status update and presentation on future biological and chemical research projects intended for the control of giant salvinia. The meeting is open to the public.
