Water system testing/flushing planned

10/26/2017

Village Water System, with the collaboration of individual fire district personnel, will be testing and flushing water mains within the next few weeks. Approximate starting time each date will be 8 a.m.

During this flushing program, members of the system may experience low water pressure and discolored water (red water). Although it’s not harmful to drink, this discoloration can affect laundry.

Although the condition is temporary, running the cold tap water for a short period of time can clear red water. The procedure necessary to sustain a good water distribution network, water quality and fire protection.
