Students plant trees at South Bossier Park


As part of the United Way Day of Service, fourth- and fifth-grade students from Curtis Elementary volunteered to plant19 future shade trees at South Bossier Park Saturday. The little oaks now give the eastern boundary of the park a different look.

Bossier Parish Director of Parks and Recreation Warren Saucier shows students how to set the trees into the ground.


Students replace topsoil for the new oak trees.


Students and adult volunteers broke into smaller groups and had the 19 oak trees in the ground in less than an hour.
