Airline Lane Closures (01/14/2021)
Beginning Monday, Jan. 18 and continuing through Wednesday the 20th one southbound lane on Airline Dr. from Kingston Rd. to Swan Lake Rd. will be closed to traffic due to construction that will expand a business parking lot.

Weather Closures (01/10/2021)
Due to the inclement winter weather that is expected to hit Bossier Parish and northwest Louisiana Sunday afternoon and evening, the Bossier Parish Courthouse will delay opening its doors to the public until 10 a.m. Monday.

Bossier Parish Highway Department Prepares for Snow (01/09/2021)
National Weather Service (NWS) forecasters are predicting a mix of rain and snow on Sunday in Bossier Parish and areas of northwest Louisiana that will change to snow across the area Sunday night.

Boil Order Recended (01/06/2021)
Effective 9:10 am January 6, the Louisiana Department of Health/Office of Public Health, rescinded the boil advisory issued by the Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District 1 of Bossier Parish covering areas of Dogwood subdivision.

Keep Bossier Beautiful Campaign (01/06/2021)
Keep Bossier Beautiful volunteers removed almost 10,000 cigarette butts from five high traffic intersections in Bossier Parish near the vicinity of Lamar digital billboards. The educational media blitz "Keep Your Butts in Your Pants" was displayed for 30 days and 500 free pocket ashtrays were distributed to smokers.

I-220 Lane Closures (01/06/2021)
Daily and nightly intermittent lane and/or shoulder closures on I-20 eastbound and westbound at the I-220 interchange in Bossier Parish are still in place and will continue as of Friday, January 1, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development

Swan Lake Road Bridge Open (12/18/2020)
Area motorists will now be able to drive Swan Lake Rd. south from its intersection with Airline Dr. now that construction has been completed on a new bridge over Flat River just east of Legacy Elementary.

Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD) Rate Increase Approved (12/17/2020)
After nearly eight years of the Bossier Parish Police Jury subsidizing operation of the parish’s $55 million Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD), the District agreed Wednesday to increase rates in order to help the system become self-sufficient.

Police Jury Meeting Notes: December 16, 2020 (12/17/2020)
Licensed drivers in one Bossier Parish neighborhood will be allowed to operate electric golf carts on designated streets in their subdivision following a Wednesday vote by the Bossier Parish Police Jury.

Smith Road Bridge Closed (12/09/2020)
Police Jury highway department workers are currently making repairs to the Smith Rd. bridge crossing Red Chute Bayou in southern Bossier Parish.
