A woodwind quintet from the Shreveport Symphony gave an open-air performance Tuesday at Tall Timbers Park off U.S. Hwy. 80 in Haughton.

Tall Timbers Entrance to Close (10/21/2020)
Beginning Wednesday, October 21, westbound lanes of U.S. Hwy. 80 over Fifi Bayou near Haughton in Bossier Parish will be diverted to the newly constructed eastbound bridge via temporary crossovers, according to the state Dept. of Transportation and Development.

Early Voting Numbers (10/19/2020)
More than 4,700 Bossier Parish voters have cast early ballots during the first two days of voting for the Nov. 3 general election, according to figures from parish Registrar of Voters Stephanie Agee.

An outdoor musical showcase will be presented Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Tall Timbers Park on U.S. Hwy 80 in Haughton, featuring a woodwind quintet from the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra.

Boil Advisory for West Central Bossier Water System (10/16/2020)
A boil advisory, effective immediately, has been issued for the West Central Bossier Water System after a six-inch water main was breached by a contractor setting a power pole on the south end of the parish prison complex.

DOTD Announces Road Construction (10/15/2020)
A $2.8 million asphalt overlay project will improve nearly seven miles of La. Hwy. 529 in northeast Bossier Parish, according to an announcement by the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation and Development.

First Responders Appreciation Day at Cypress Black Bayou (10/15/2020)
All Bossier Parish/City first responders – law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel – are invited to the inaugural “First Responders Appreciation Day” at Cypress Black Bayou on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Early Voting Begins Friday, October 16 (10/14/2020)
Early voting for the Nov. 3 general election begins Friday, Oct. 16 will continue through Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to Bossier Parish Registrar of Voters Stephanie Agee. Voting hours will be from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day except Sundays.

Broadband Study For Parish (10/14/2020)
A scheduled equipment test within the next two weeks will be step one to help determine the feasibility of high-speed Internet connectivity for rural residents of Bossier Parish who live in areas with little or no broadband coverage.
