Boil Advisory has been Issued for Dogwood Subdivision (08/07/2020)
A boil advisory has been issued for Dogwood subdivision effective immediately. Officials with the Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1, Parish of Bossier, said the advisory will remain in effect until rescinded by the system.

Executive Order: August 7, 2020 (08/07/2020)
WHEREAS, pursuant to La. R.S. 29:727, the President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury has hereby declared a State of Emergency due to the statewide public health emergency issued by Governor John Bel Edwards, with the most recent being Proclamation Number 101 JBE 2020 issued on August 6, 2020, supplementing the declaration of emergency in Proclamation Number 96 JBE 2020, and the mitigation measures therein; Therefore, Proclamation Number 101 JBE 2020 shall remain in full force and effect until it expires on Friday, August 28, 2020, unless extended, in response to the threat posed by COVID-19.

Bossier Parish voters will soon decide on renewal of a smaller ad valorem tax that generates funds dedicated to maintaining and operating the parish’s correctional facilities including transportation and medical care for prisoners.

Contractors for the Bossier Parish Police Jury have begun work on major infrastructure projects designed to improve parish roads and bridges.

Bossier Parish Administrator Bill Altimus has been named a vice chair of the Transportation Steering Committee for the National Association of Counties.
